...Honey, I love you to the Moon and back

Ronnie and I just got married! Congratulations to us! The wedding was intentionally low key - no fuss planning, family and friends around us, and united in love under God's covenant. We are over the moon in love with each other and set out immediately on our honeymoon for a grand east coast camping adventure touring the historical American landscape of Boston, Philadelphia, and Williamsburg with a little bit of Cleveland thrown in for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We own a fifth wheel RV camper - the gooseneck kind that hitches up inside the bed of the truck. With three 'slide-outs' it's a pretty long, tall and oversized mobile tent. Our idea has been to eventually 'winter' in new places each year with it because it has everything we need to live in it. We've travelled locally with it to a few campsites and have had a lot of fun.

So we started off immediately the morning after the wedding on our honeymoon tour of the country. A wonderful recipe for adventure:

  • 1 crew cab 'one-ton' truck - diesel

  • 1 35ft. fifth wheel RV at 14.5ft height

  • Minus 2 pups that would be too much for a 2 week multi-state trip (thank-you sisters for keeping them)

  • 2 full weeks to travel and take in the countryside

  • 4 camping sites reserved for a few day's stay at each location

  • No itinerary other than a Red Sox game in Boston

Murphy is always expected, but never did I imagine to what extent. Ronnie asked me yesterday if he married a black cat. Suffice it to say, we are having quite the adventure - but never what we thought it would be. I will say this many times over though... through all of our honeymoon adventures everyone, and I mean everyone, has been really kind, sympathetic, and just plain nice. Things aren't going the way we want them to, but we have each other and we are doing just fine as newlyweds. Murphy can't even come close to touching that!
